Cemetery at St. Francis of Assisi Mission Church
The cemetery at St. Francis of Assisi Mission Church, located in Seven Mile Plaza (Los Valdezes) in the San Luis Valley of Colorado, is a sacred resting place for generations of families who helped build and shape this community.
Each headstone represents a life of faith, labor, and love—woven into the history of this valley Together, they leave behind a legacy that continues to live on in their descendants. It is a place where families come to remember their loved ones and find strength in those who came before them.
Memorial Walkway Project
Our Memorial Walkway is dedicated to those we know are buried here, but who have no headstone or visible marker. Each individual brick will bear their name and dates. Between the dates marked on each brick is a simple line—the dash.
That small mark holds an entire life. No matter how long or short, it carries every moment: the work, the laughter, the struggle, and the love.
It is their time on this earth.
No one buried here will be forgotten.
